Year round activities

Tulsa's River Parks system, located near downtown, features playgrounds, picnic areas, and several miles of pedestrian/bicycle trails winding through scenic areas along the banks of the Arkansas River. A mountain biker’s favorite, Turkey Mountain offers more rugged trails for the extreme biker and hiker, and all within the city limits.
The River Parks floating stage and amphitheater hosts a variety of seasonal entertainment, the annual Fourth of July fireworks celebration and Oktoberfest. A converted railroad bridge spans the river above Zink Lake and Dam, offering fishing or just a quiet view of the downtown skyline.
The Oxley Nature Center at Mohawk Park is one of the largest urban nature centers with habitats ranging from marshland to deep woods. The center staff also presents a variety of programs for the general public including workshops, weekly tours and junior naturalist training.
Other parks and attractions that make Tulsa unique include Woodward Park, Tulsa Garden Center, Swan Lake, Woolaroc and the Tulsa Zoo.
Additional must see festivals include the annual Mayfest and DFest events.
