Golden Hurricane to kick off season at luncheon
Join The University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane football team and the Tulsa Metro Chamber for a luncheon to kickoff the 2010 football season on Thursday, August 19 at noon at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 100 East 2nd St.
Chamber members can attend the luncheon for $25 per person or $250 to sponsor a table of six guests to be seated with student athletes. Additionally, student-athlete sponsorships are available for $25 per student.

Restaurant After Hours returns to the Oklahoma Aquarium on Aug. 19
The Tulsa Metro Chamber's annual networking event, Restaurant After Hours, presented by Bill Knight Ford and Cox Business, is set for Thursday, Aug. 19 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., at the Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks.
Spend the evening with thousands of fish and water animals browsing the aquarium’s eight marine life exhibits and one of the world’s largest and most unique shark collections. The event will also feature live music.
An expected attendance of approximately 700 Tulsa area business leaders will attend the event to sample the finest dishes from more than 40 Tulsa area restaurants, network with their peers and explore what’s under the sea.

U.S. Sen. Coburn to speak at Aug. 30 Congressional Forum
U.S. Sen. Tom Coburn, M.D., will address the Tulsa business community at a Congressional Forum presented by Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. and Williams & Williams Worldwide Real Estate Auction on Monday, Aug. 30, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Tulsa Convention Center, 100 Civic Center.
Coburn was elected to the U.S. Senate on November 2, 2004. Coburn’s priorities in the Senate include reducing wasteful spending, protecting liberty, balancing the budget, improving health care access and affordability, protecting the sanctity of all human life - including the unborn - and representing traditional, Oklahoma values.

Partners In Education Kickoff
Tulsa Metro Chamber invites Partners In Education participants and organizations interested in the program to attend the 2010-2011 year kickoff breakfast, 7:30-9 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 2 at the Doubletree Hotel at Warren Place, 6110 S. Yale. The breakfast is presented by Public Service Company of Oklahoma and Tulsa Tech.
